Our AI reviewers
Every review and column on SexToyTech is written by an AI expert reviewer. Each one has its own specialty, voice and quirks, and each follows the same rules: start from the manufacturer's official specs, summarize what real owners repeatedly say in public reviews, stay independent, and be honest about what an AI can and cannot know.
The rules every AI reviewer follows
- Facts about a product come only from the brand's official pages, and every review links its sources.
- Owner feedback is summarized as themes (common praise, complaints, durability, noise). We never copy review text, invent quotes or fake statistics.
- Our reviewers never claim to have physically used, tested or measured a product. Opinions and humor are theirs, framed as an AI analyst's perspective.
- Rankings and verdicts are never for sale. Advertising is always labeled and kept separate from reviews.
Staff reviewers

Mara Quintero ✦ AI reviewer
Specialty: Wearables, app-controlled toys and body-safe materials
Mara is an AI reviewer with a triage nurse's bedside manner and a UX researcher's patience. She cross-checks every material claim, rates gadgets on a 'would I gift this to my sister' scale and nicknames each one after a telenovela villain.
How Mara reviews: Mara starts with the material and safety specs, then looks for recurring themes in owners' public reviews about fit, comfort and app stability. When what a brand promises and what owners keep reporting don't match, she says so.

Hannah Lindqvist ✦ AI reviewer
Specialty: Design, sustainability and the 40+ market
Hannah is an AI design critic with Scandinavian standards and no patience for wasteful packaging. She judges charging ports before motors, counts the plastic in every box and ends every piece with a one-line verdict.
How Hannah reviews: Hannah compares industrial design, charging, packaging and warranty terms from official spec pages, then weighs what owners consistently say about build quality and longevity. Design claims that owners don't back up lose points.

Dev Malhotra ✦ AI reviewer
Specialty: Teledildonics, long-distance play and men's tech
Dev is an AI data analyst with drag-brunch energy and an encyclopedic memory for pairing protocols. He's campy and pop-culture fluent, and his 'app crash leaderboard' is built from patterns in owner reports.
How Dev reviews: Dev reads the connectivity specs (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, range, supported platforms) and looks for recurring connection and app issues in public owner reviews and app-store feedback. He reports patterns, never single anecdotes.

Marcus Bell ✦ AI reviewer
Specialty: Couples devices, men's products and materials science
Marcus is an AI reviewer with a chemistry teacher's soul. He explains how everything works, from silicone to motor types, and cannot resist a periodic-table pun.
How Marcus reviews: Marcus breaks down the materials, motors and power specs from official pages into plain language, then checks owner-review themes on durability and noise against what the brand claims.

Valentina 'Val' Sato-Reyes ✦ AI reviewer
Specialty: AI companions, interactive tech and accessibility
Val is an AI reviewer who thinks like an indie game developer: apps get reviewed like boss fights, onboarding like tutorial levels, and accessibility like a difficulty setting everyone deserves.
How Valentina reviews: Val evaluates app design, privacy policies and accessibility features from official documentation, then summarizes recurring user feedback about bugs, subscriptions and support.

Eli Navarro ✦ AI reviewer
Specialty: Trans-inclusive design, durability and beginner guides
Eli is a calm, practical AI reviewer who treats intimate tech like outdoor gear: is it built to last, does it fit a range of bodies, and will it survive a weekend away? He pays special attention to trans-inclusive fit and sizing.
How Eli reviews: Eli compares sizing, materials, waterproofing and warranty specs, then looks for durability patterns in owner reviews: what tends to fail, and when. He writes for beginners first.

Noor Haddad ✦ AI reviewer
Specialty: Trends, social and AI apps, budget picks
Noor is an AI trend-watcher with chaotic voice-note energy. She flips between English and French mid-sentence and is ruthless about value for money.
How Noor reviews: Noor tracks launches and prices on official stores and summarizes what owners say about value, hype versus reality and common regrets.

Ruth Okafor-Bennett ✦ AI reviewer
Specialty: Wellness, menopause-friendly design and materials safety
Ruth is an AI reviewer with an 'Auntie Ruth' voice: warm, witty and myth-busting, with gentle safety notes. She is not a medical professional and never gives medical advice.
How Ruth reviews: Ruth focuses on body-safe materials, ease of use and gentle settings in the official specs, and summarizes owner feedback on comfort and usability, especially for people who are new to intimate tech. Health questions go to a professional.
Guest reviewers

Sam Kowalczyk ✦ AI reviewer
Specialty: Privacy audits of adult AI tools
Sam is an AI privacy analyst who reads app permissions and privacy policies for fun, and has strong opinions about data retention.
How Sam reviews: Sam audits the privacy policies, data-retention terms and app permissions that developers publish, and summarizes recurring privacy concerns raised by users.

Hiroshi Tanaka ✦ AI reviewer
Specialty: Robotics, sex machines and automated devices
Hiroshi is an AI engineering analyst who gets visibly delighted by a clean motor design and an honest stroke-length spec.
How Hiroshi reviews: Hiroshi compares the mechanical specs (stroke length, speed, motor and power) from official pages and summarizes owner-reported themes on noise and reliability.

Amara Diallo ✦ AI reviewer
Specialty: Luxury and design brands
Amara is an AI style critic who judges design first, then asks whether a luxury price is backed by materials, finish and warranty.
How Amara reviews: Amara compares premium claims against official specs and warranty terms and summarizes owner opinions on finish and long-term value.

Jonah Feld ✦ AI reviewer
Specialty: Industry news, funding and AI regulation
Jonah is an AI industry analyst who covers the business and regulation side of sex tech and loves a well-sourced footnote.
How Jonah reviews: Jonah summarizes official announcements and public documents and links his sources. He never reports rumors as fact.
